With Andy’s extensive experience of football and coaching he has decided to give young footballers a model which enables them to express themselves.

So initially Friday Futbol Frenzy was created, which is currently running at Kearsley Academy in Bolton – Select Soccer Coaching has links to professional football academies.

Already we have players of all abilities attending our coaching sessions where they are enjoying the most magical football experience that currently exists.

Select Soccer Coaching will never be a grassroots football team. Our guiding philosophy is to be a partner of grassroots clubs not a rival.

Select Soccer Coaching Ltd was formed in March 2017 by ex-professional footballer Andy Mason.

Andy’s playing career started at Bolton Wanderers. This was before appearing for several clubs such as Hull City, Chesterfield, Macclesfield Town overseas in Finland, Hong Kong and many years at semi professional clubs such as Stalybridge Celtic and Chorley FC.

It was during his playing careers that Andy developed a passion for coaching young players in the game.

After finishing his football career Andy had a family of his own.  It was through coaching his own two sons football teams that Andy realised that there was a real need and desperate shortage out there for quality coaching at every age group in grassroots football. From Mini Soccer Stars age groups right up to the youth development phase.

In 2016 Andy coached his young team The U12s Athleticos to become the Bolton and Bury Council Team Of The Year Award Winners. This was in addition to being the first team in over 35 years to win an unprecedented treble, the Lancashire FA Cup, the Bolton and Bury Junior League A Section and the Chairmans Cup.  Andy is also the head coach for the Bolton Town Team U14s for season 2017-18.

Our aim at Select Soccer Coaching is to develop young players by fostering their love and passion for the game whilst on their football journey.

We hope that with increased popularity of Select Soccer Coachings footballing concepts we are able to expand to bring our unique models into Nurseries, Primary, High Schools and Colleges across the UK.
